Daniel (Dan) Murphy (Murruppi) is from the Djirrabal and Ngadjon tribe located in the Rainforest Area of Far North Queensland. He has been painting professionally for over 20 years and is a self-taught artist. He signs his work “ Murruppi’’.
Dan Murruppi’s artwork is a reflection of his passion for his country and people. His inspiration comes from his Mother, Father and Ancestral roots. He loves to paint to share his culture with all who get the opportunity to own pieces of his work. Dan is one of many Indigenous Artists painting for Australian Authentic Dreamtime Art and continues to enjoy the exposure this gives him.
