Jennifer Kent
“Art makes the world a nicer place.”

Jennifer Kent was born in Townsville and grew up in Mt Isa, and has lived in Goodna for over a decade. She has affiliations with the Waluwarra and Kalkadoon tribes located in North West Queensland and is a descendant from the Quandamooka and Darumbal tribes located in Queensland’s Brisbane Bay Area and Capricorn Coast. Jennifer signs her work “KENT’’.

Jennifer began painting at Shalom Christian College in Townsville when she was 12 years old and developed her natural talent over time. Her art takes on themes of spirituality, the sky, the sun, traditional and rainbow aspects, which you can visualise through her artwork. Jennifer shares stories through her contemporary Aboriginal art style and hopes to make the world a better and more beautiful place.

Jennifer Kent is one of many Indigenous Artists painting for Australian Authentic Dreamtime Art and continues to enjoy the exposure this gives her.

Australian Authentic Dreamtime Art feature products that are painted by genuine Aboriginal Artists, each with their own individual style and story.
