Coolamons are traditional carrying vessels used by Australia’s First Nations People. It is a multi-purpose shallow dish with curved sides, traditionally used by Aboriginal women to carry water, fruits, nuts and to cradle babies. They were carried on the head when traveling any distance, or under the arm, if used as a cradle.
