Ben Appleton signs his work “ BA’’. was born in Mt Isa and grew up in Brisbane, and is a descendant of the Yuggera tribe located between Brisbane and the Gold Coast (QLD). “I started drawing as soon as I could hold a pencil” says Ben. He signs his work “ BA’’.
Ben is able to combine his love for airbrushing to create an effective eye catching combination of medias, which distinguish him from other artists. His art takes on themes of hunting and gathering, and he finds himself drawing his inspiration mainly from the Australian landscape of flora and fauna. Ben hopes that he is able to please people with his art, and through this process has rediscovered his heritage.
